You'll cycle through the rich history of Flanders’ Finest, and you'll become a part of this bit of Flemish sports heritage.

From street to monument

The Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat in Kwaremont is 1.2 km long. You'll be immersed in the race for 1200 m.

View ten life-size portraits of heroes who blew away the opposition and won the Tour of Flanders. Cycle over the 1 km long roll of honour painted on the pavement. And admire the mosaic in which 76 Tour of Flanders winners were incorporated. It can be found at Karel Van Wijnendale’s monument. It’s an emotional tribute to the icons of the cycling world.

When you get on the pedals here, you are not just surrounded by the legendary athletes of the mecca of The Tour. The landscape around you also shapes the mythical experience you'll undergo here. This part of the Flemish Ardennes is not known as Flanders’ Most Beautiful Landscape for nothing.

The rolling hills, which sometimes transform into vicious leg killers that can only be tamed with perseverance and litres of sweat, are your companions along the way. Inhale the pure air of the Flemish Ardennes and give the best of yourself. Do this together with the impressive array of winners who look at you approvingly from the roadside.

Challenge yourself

Naturally, you won't stop at the end of the Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat. You'll want more, harder, further and better. And so you'll immediately continue your ride. The Blue Tour of Flanders Loop, which also passes through this street, is perfect for this.

The short, challenging route takes you past awe-inspiring inclines like the Oude Kwaremont, the Koppenberg and the Taaienberg. It’s a tough nut to crack, that’s for sure. But you can do it! If you want to cycle the whole loop and discover the Ronde van Vlaanderenstraat along the way, it’s best to start at the Tour of Flanders Centre.

After an exhausting day of racing and fighting the wind, you'll deserve some rest and relaxation. Thank goodness the Flemish Ardennes took this into consideration. Stop at Café d’Oude Hoeve, an authentic racing café where the love of cycling exudes from every corner. Treat yourself to a cold beer, a refreshing soft drink or a typical regional beer and unwind for a while, surrounded by Tour of Flanders fans from all over the world.

In the evening, you can rest contentedly in De Flandrienhoeve holiday home. This renovated farmhouse is a great location for groups of friends and families who are passionate about the race. Up to 30 people can stay here in a perfectly renovated square farmhouse with every modern comfort. Good news for people who don’t enjoy cycling: this farm is also ideally situated to discover the walking routes in the Flemish Ardennes. De Flandrienhoeve is highly recommended for everyone!
