An e-bike or hiking package
Recharge your battery
Cafés and restaurants can be hard to find on the quiet roads and hidden paths in the Flemish Ardennes. There is also a risk that their opening hours may not be in sync with your growling stomach. That’s why two rural B&Bs provide mapped out hiking and cycling routes as well as delicious food and drinks in a package deal.
A nice hike
The Pas de Deux route, between the De Amberhoeve in Schorisse-Maarkedal and Het Stille Genoegen in Opbrakel, is a hike that is 14, 16 or 20 km long. You’ll feast on a delicious and hearty breakfast before you leave. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a tasty two-course meal (drinks not included). Upon your return, you can regain your strength with homemade cake and coffee or tea at De Amberhoeve.
Eating, drinking and pedalling
The 55 km cycling route for e-bikes starts at Het Stille Genoegen with a power breakfast. Those who requested an e-bike, can top up the battery during breakfast. With the map in your pocket, you ride through Livieren Forest towards Pays des Collines. For lunch, you dismount at the Moulin du Mouflu in Ellezelles, where cyclists and classic car enthusiasts will have a great time. After lunch, you cross the language border again and head to De Amberhoeve for homemade cake with coffee or tea. Later, you can enjoy a refreshing regional beer. Any power left in your internal battery is for the last few kilometres to the starting point.

De Amberhoeve
The host and hostess of B&B De Amberhoeve deliberately keep it small-scale. This gives them the space and time they need to treat their guests like royalty. Their two guest rooms bear the name of flowers. They fit perfectly into the picturesque setting that gives this B&B so much character and individuality.
Het Stille Genoegen
Het Stille Genoegen, a B&B with four rooms full of character, balances on the language border between the Flemish Ardennes and the Pays des Collines. It has been doing so since before there was a border. During the renovation of the farmhouse, great care was taken not to disturb the harmony between traditional and new elements.
